Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about Zeebrar, GPL licensing, plugins, site management, credits, and subscriptions.
GPL & Licensing
What is GPL licensing?
GPL (General Public License) is an open-source license that grants users the freedom to use, modify, and redistribute software. WordPress and most WordPress plugins are released under GPL, which means once you legally obtain a GPL-licensed plugin, you have full rights to use it on unlimited websites.
Is it legal to use GPL plugins from Zeebrar?
Yes, absolutely. GPL licensing explicitly allows redistribution. When you download a plugin through Zeebrar, you receive the exact same code that premium developers release. The GPL license travels with the code, granting you the same rights as any other licensee.
Will I receive support from the original plugin developers?
No. Support is typically not included with GPL redistribution. However, Zeebrar provides community support and comprehensive documentation. For critical production sites, we recommend purchasing directly from developers if you need their dedicated support.
Are plugin updates included?
Yes! All Zeebrar plans include automatic updates. We regularly check for new versions and make them available through the gplc-connector plugin on your site.
What happens if a plugin update breaks my site?
Zeebrar includes free version rollback. If an update causes issues, roll back to any previous version with one click from your WordPress admin — no credits charged. Once you're ready, re-update to the latest version (costs credits like a normal install). No other GPL provider offers free rollback.
How does Zeebrar ensure plugins are safe?
Every plugin in our catalog is scanned with TotalVirus v3, a multi-engine security scanner that checks for malware, backdoors, and known vulnerabilities. Infected files are quarantined automatically. Competitors either use basic ClamAV scanning or skip scanning entirely.
Credits & Billing
GPL Vault is $90/year. Why should I pay more for Zeebrar?
GPL Vault offers unlimited downloads but no security scanning, no version rollback, and no site management. Zeebrar gives you two things in one subscription: a 5,000+ plugin library with TotalVirus v3 scanning and free rollback, plus a remote site management dashboard where you can install, update, activate, and monitor plugins across all your WordPress sites — with no per-site fees. No other GPL provider or management tool combines both.
How do credits work?
Credits are used to install plugins. Each plugin costs 1-5 credits depending on its value tier (shown on plugin pages). Credits accumulate while you're subscribed — unused credits carry over month to month. If you cancel, your credits freeze but remain in your account. Note: site management actions like updates, rollbacks, activation, and health monitoring are always free and don't cost credits.
Do yearly plans include monthly credits?
Yes! Credits are added monthly and accumulate. Your credit bank grows every month you stay subscribed, while you enjoy annual pricing savings.
Do plugin updates cost credits?
No. Updates are always free and do not consume any credits. Once you have installed a plugin, all future updates for that plugin are included at no additional cost.
What happens if I run out of credits?
Purchase a one-time credit pack for immediate credits, or upgrade to a higher tier for more monthly credits.
What happens to my credits if my subscription expires?
Your credits freeze but never disappear. When you resubscribe — even months later — your full balance unlocks and new monthly credits stack on top. Most GPL providers delete your account data on cancellation. With Zeebrar, you keep every credit you earned.
What happens when I cancel?
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. Your installed plugins remain on your sites but stop receiving updates. Site management features (remote installs, rollbacks, health monitoring) also stop. Your credits freeze and are restored if you resubscribe later — even months down the line.
Do I pay per site for management features?
No. There are no per-site fees. Every Zeebrar subscription includes site management at no extra cost. Credits are only used for installing new plugins — management actions like updates, activation, deactivation, and rollback are always free.
Installation & Setup
How do I install the gplc-connector plugin?
Download gplc-connector from your Zeebrar account dashboard, then upload it to your WordPress site via Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. After activation, go to Settings → Zeebrar and enter your account credentials to connect.
Can I use Zeebrar on multiple websites?
Yes! Site connections depend on your plan: Free supports 1 site, Personal supports 3 sites, Pro supports 15, and Agency is unlimited. Install the gplc-connector plugin on each connected site to enable remote management.
How many sites can I connect?
Site limits depend on your plan: Free supports 1 WordPress site, Personal supports 3 sites, Pro supports 15 sites, and Agency is unlimited. Each connected site needs the gplc-connector plugin installed.
Why is my plugin installation failing?
Common causes include insufficient disk space, PHP memory limits, or permission issues. Check that your server meets WordPress requirements (PHP 7.4+, sufficient memory). See our troubleshooting guide for detailed solutions.
How do I update plugins installed through Zeebrar?
Updates are handled automatically by the gplc-connector plugin. When a new version is available, you will see it in your WordPress dashboard just like any other plugin update. Simply click Update to install the latest version.
What is site management and how does it work?
Site management lets you control plugins on your connected WordPress sites directly from your Zeebrar dashboard. Install, update, activate, deactivate, and roll back plugins — all without logging into wp-admin. Just install the free gplc-connector plugin on your WordPress site to get started.
What management features are included vs coming soon?
Currently included: remote plugin install, activate/deactivate, free version rollback, site health monitoring (WP/PHP/connector status), and pre-install safety checks. Coming soon: automated backups, uptime monitoring, bulk updates, client reports, and white-label options.

How do I change my subscription?
To change plans, cancel your current subscription from Account → Subscription. After your billing cycle ends, subscribe to the new plan. Your installed plugins and account remain intact during the transition.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, you can cancel anytime from your account settings. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period. Installed plugins will remain on your sites, but you will not receive updates after cancellation.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept PayPal and all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through secure payment processing. All transactions are encrypted and PCI-compliant.
